Welcome! I’m Denise, and I’m so happy you’re here.
You may have been led here because you’re ready for some peace and happiness, or maybe because you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired. It could be that you feel like you’ve lost your mojo, and you want to know how to get it back. Perhaps you feel like something is missing in your life, but you’re not sure what it is. It could be that you’re at a spiritual crossroads and are looking for some intuitive guidance and food for the soul. Or maybe you just want a smoothie recipe!
You’re in the right place, sweetheart. I know a thing or two about lost mojo, rock bottom, soul sickness, heartbreak and devastating loss. I’ve survived it all and come out the other side stronger, lighter, wiser, and somehow more joyful and grateful than ever.
My husband Ely died suddenly on November 2, 2010. I will tell that story here on the blog soon, but I can share what that loss taught me in just a few short sentences: Life is a precious gift. Happiness is a choice. All that matters is love.
After a couple of dark years during which I dove into a vat of vodka and fell for a not-so-great guy, I climbed out of the pit of grief and turned toward the light. I got sober, recommitted to a spiritual practice, rediscovered my love of Tarot, and started learning about vibrational energy and the Law of Attraction. I started treating my body with love and respect and became certified as a holistic wellness coach.
A couple years ago, I launched a health-focused blog but it didn’t feel right because I was leaving out the most important ingredient: happiness. You can’t have true wellness without happiness…and as you read this blog you’ll learn that I have some pretty specific ideas about how exactly we humans can attain that sometimes elusive state.
I write about things that really float my boat: Tarot, meditation, yummy food, feng shui, Law of Attraction, love, radical self-care, connecting with the Divine, writing, books, making a home, positive psychology, prayer, affirmations, setting intentions, nature, ritual, and of course, smoothies.
